Wireless networking has been the defacto standard for home networking for a year or two now. Most consumer wireless routers these days do more or less the same thing in terms of their basic operations, and in many cases they use almost identical hardware to archive this. That’s not to say they’re all the same, some AP’s have proprietary speed enhancements using more expensive chipsets, and some have special antenna configurations to allow for stronger signals in more remote areas of a house. The question you need to ask when buying wireless devices is whether or not you really need such things, and for most people the answer is “not really”.
Black is cool
Which brings us to the unpretentious little MSI RG54GS2, is the nice look. One antenna, no speed enhancements, no sharp edges. It has USB print server built-in, offers standard 128-bit WPA, WEP encryption and Radius security, the usual port-forwarding, virtual server stuff like that, and WDA. It does everything you would need it to around the house, and the signals is strong and consistent, make it perfectly practical for an average sized house.
Easy to Setup
Setup is easy, using the Simple setup option, the router can be up and running in two minutes. The best part about this router is the web interface, it’s clear, well position and very easy to navigate. All the options are where they should be, it seemed to work identically on all web browsers and everything is idiot proof.

Comments
This router is strongly recommended, if you’re on the market for a sensible wireless router to network your house. It’s reasonably priced, comes with a handy USB print server, has very stable firmware and is very easy to setup. It has impressively consistent signal and strength, and overall just does what it’s suppose to performs.
If you’re regular transfer large files or you live in big house then you may wish to look for something more specialised, but for most regular purposes, the MSI RG54GS2 is a pratical little wireless router that won’t cause too many headaches.
